Nimrod Novik

Israel Fellow

Nimrod Novik is the Israel Policy Forum (IPF) Israel Fellow. A former Senior Adviser to Shimon Peres and a Former Special Ambassador of the State of Israel, he is a Senior Associate of the Economic Cooperation Foundation (ECF) and Member of the Executive Committee of Commanders for Israel’s Security (CIS).

Adam Basciano

Adam Basciano is the IPF Atid National Director at Israel Policy Forum, based in New York City. In this role, he oversees the activities of Israel Policy Forum young professional chapters in New York, Washington, DC, Chicago, Los Angeles, and in additional communities across North America. He also manages the Charles Bronfman IPF Atid Conveners Program, a new network of emerging Jewish communal and policy leaders working in support of the two-state solution. Prior to joining Israel Policy Forum, he interned on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, the Mayor of Tel Aviv's International Relations team, and at AIPAC. He also served as a Research Assistant for two years on the book, Thou Shalt Innovate: How Israeli Ingenuity Repairs the World. He received his B.A. in International Relations from Colgate University, where he was a member of the Benton Scholars international leadership program.

Evan Gottesman

Evan Gottesman is Associate Director of Policy and Communications at Israel Policy Forum. His work has been published by Ha'aretz, The National Interest, World Policy Journal, The Diplomat, The Jerusalem Post, and ETH Zürich's Center for Security Studies.

Noa Shusterman

Noa Shusterman is IPF's Communications and Research Fellow and an Israeli Fulbright Scholar. She previously worked at Walla! News and is a graduate of The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She is completing her MA in International Relations at New York University, researching the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.

Abe Silberstein

Abe Silberstein is a Contributing Writer for IPF's Matzav. His work on Israeli politics and U.S.-Israel relations has appeared in Ha'aretz, The Forward, The Jerusalem Post, and +972 Magazine. He lives in New York City.

Gokhan Cinkara

Gokhan Cinkara is a visiting researcher at the Truman Institute of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem - where he focuses on Israeli political institutions, in particular the Israeli Labor Party. He is a PhD student at Ankara University's Political Science department and an Israel Institute doctoral fellow.

Guy Frenkel

Guy Frenkel is a Contributing Writer for IPF's Matzav. He is an Israeli political analyst specializing in self-determination issues. Frenkel has previously worked with Blue White Future and Partners for Progressive Israel. Frenkel holds an MA in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. He is currently based in the New York City area.

Ilan Goldenberg is Senior Fellow and Director of the Middle East Security Program at the Center for a New American Security.

Jordan Chandler Hirsch

Jordan Chandler Hirsch is a Visiting Fellow at the Columbia Institute for Israel and Jewish Studies. He was previously an editor at Foreign Affairs and recently graduated Yale Law School.

Jonathan Kamel

Jonathan Kamel is the Chair of IPF Atid Chicago and currently works at DigitasLBi. He is a graduate of Northwestern University and previously interned at AIPAC, the Israel Project, and the Israel on Campus Coalition. He is very active in the Chicago Jewish community, serving on the Young Leadership Council of Israel Bonds and is a member of Citypac, Chicago's pro-Israel political action committee.

Jonah Naghi

Jonah Naghi is a graduate from Clark University's Psychology and Middle Eastern Studies departments. He regularly contributes to his Times of Israel blog and has spent extensive time in the region.

Ned Lazarus

Ned Lazarus is Visiting Professor of International Affairs at George Washington University's Elliott School, an Israel Institute Teaching Fellow, and incoming Research Director of the Alliance for Middle East Peace.

Nimrod Goren

Dr. Nimrod Goren is the Head of Mitvim – The Israeli Institute for Regional Foreign Policies, and a lecturer for Middle Eastern studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Reut Itzkovitch-Malka

Reut Itzkovitch-Malka is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology, Political Science and Communication at the Open University of Israel. During the 2014-15 academic year she was an Israel Institute Post Doctoral Fellow at the Center on Democracy, Development and the Rule of Law at Stanford University.

Ron Shatzberg

Ron Shatzberg is a reserve colonel in the IDF and Senior Advisor at the Economic Cooperation Foundation, an Israeli think tank that launched the Oslo Process and is dedicated to resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Sarah E. Yerkes

Sarah Yerkes is a fellow in Carnegie’s Middle East Program, where her research focuses on Tunisia’s political, economic, and security developments as well as state-society relations in the Middle East and North Africa.
